In less than a week in office, President Joe Biden prepares to shift towards a healthier America, rid Covid-19. In addition to President Biden’s travel restriction tightening and executive order, as far as incoming travelers to the United States is concerned; The U.S. Centers for Disease Control issued an order effective today, January 26, stating the following:

1) Get tested for COVID-19 no more than three days before departing to the United States and show a negative test result to the airline before boarding

OR

2) show documentation of recent recovery from COVID-19 to the airline before boarding

All air passengers must adhere to this order, including U.S. citizens and permanent residents, age two and older.

Those testing positive must delay travel and isolate as per Covid-19 guidelines, while those recovering from Covid must provide “acceptable documentation,” which as deemed by the CBC include:

1) a positive viral test result within three months of travel (or the time period specified in current CDC guidance)

AND

2) a letter from a healthcare provider or public health official stating that the passenger is cleared to end isolation.
