Lo Smith

Before we dive into this incredible shoot, we’d love to learn more about you! What’s your background, and what led you into the world of fashion and modeling?
Hello, I’m Lo—a multifaceted creative from the DMV area with a lifelong passion for the arts. From singing and painting to gymnastics and dance, self-expression has always been at the core of who I am. My love for creativity naturally led me to the fashion industry, where I use modeling and style as powerful forms of artistic expression.
If you had to sum yourself up in just five words, what would they be and why?
Passionate. Versatile. Expressive. Artistic. Empowering.
These words reflect my love for exploring different creative avenues—singing, dancing, writing, painting, and modeling—all while staying committed to inspiring others to embrace their own creativity.
This editorial is bold, avant-garde, and visually striking. Did the concept challenge or excite you as a model?
The concept absolutely excited me! The bold and avant-garde vision pushed me to explore new expressions and movements. It was both a creatively fulfilling and fun experience, and I felt honored to be part of something so visually impactful.

Your outfit and aesthetic played a key role in creating the overall vision—how did it help shape your performance in front of the camera?
I wore a striking navy-blue, long sequined dress, paired with exquisite jewelry and silver shoes to complete the look. The ensemble radiated elegance, making me feel both regal and refined. Embracing that energy, I channeled it into every pose and movement in front of the camera.
Monochromatic fashion often makes a strong statement. What message do you think this cover shoot conveys?
This cover shoot uses monochromatic fashion to create a powerful and cohesive visual story. It conveys confidence and intentionality. By focusing on one color, it allows the textures, silhouettes, and emotions to shine. It’s a message of strength, elegance, and artistry.

What was the most memorable part of the shoot for you?
The most memorable moment was posing with the team at the National Harbor, on the iconic sculpture The Awakening. It was a beautiful and meaningful location that added depth and significance to the overall experience.
What advice do you have for young models or creatives trying to tap into the fashion industry?
Whatever you want to do, start building your portfolio and networking in that industry. The more you invest in your knowledge, craft, and relationships, the further you will go. Stay consistent, stay curious, and never stop growing.
When people look back at your work and influence, how do you want to be remembered?
I want to be remembered as someone genuine and supportive—who truly cared about helping others succeed in their pursuits. A person who brought honesty, positivity, and joy into every space I entered, and who encouraged others to chase their dreams with heart and hard work.
If you could describe this cover in three words, what would they be?
Daring. Artistic. Unforgettable.
