Armeshia Hogue | Color: Red

Before we dive into this incredible shoot, we’d love to know more about you! What’s your background, and what led you into the world of fashion and modeling?
I was born in Lexington, KY, and raised in Washington, DC. I’m a proud mother of two sons and have a deep love for concerts, sports, dancing, and traveling. I graduated from Ballou Senior High School in 2005. My professional journey began in law enforcement, serving as a DC Police Officer. Currently, I work as a Tax Examiner Technician for the DC Government.
My modeling journey started in 2006 at Virginia State University when I auditioned for a fashion show and was selected as the lead. Shortly after, I discovered I was pregnant and decided to take a break. In 2011, a friend invited me to a fashion show hosted by ROE: The Agency, and I instantly fell in love with the runway all over again. I officially joined ROE in 2012, and I’ve been with the agency ever since.

If you had to sum yourself up in just five words, what would they be and why?
Resilient. Adventurous. Dedicated. Humble. Passionate.
I overcome challenges with resilience and approach life with curiosity and passion. Whether I’m being a mother, working in my career, or walking the runway, I remain dedicated and grounded—always pushing forward with purpose and love for what I do.
What was your reaction when you first heard about the monochromatic theme for this shoot?
I was excited! I love creative shoots, and I’m always up for something new and inspiring.

The moment I received my dress, my mood and energy lifted instantly! There’s something about red that speaks directly to my soul. It looked amazing on me and added just the right touch of confidence and sex appeal.
Monochromatic fashion often makes a strong statement. What message do you think this cover shoot conveys?
This shoot conveys confidence and unity. Monochromatic fashion offers a bold, streamlined look that embodies strength, simplicity, and elegance. It highlights the power of a singular, focused vision—proof that less can truly be more.

I hope viewers feel empowered and inspired to be their authentic selves. Whether it’s embracing individuality, unity in diversity, or bold self-expression—I want people to see that beauty lies in owning who you are. Everyone has a unique story, and there’s strength in telling it with confidence.
From makeup transformation to embodying a fully monochrome aesthetic, what stood out to you most about this experience?
Even with minor setbacks, having the right team in place made everything flow beautifully. That support makes all the difference.
