New York, July 2, 2025 — Hip‑hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been denied bail and will remain in federal custody as he awaits sentencing following his conviction on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution
U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian rejected Diddy’s bid for release, expressing serious concerns about his “years‑long pattern of violence,” domestic assault, and suspected disregard for legal boundaries even during the investigation period . Despite defense efforts—including a $1 million bond offer and restrictions on travel—the court concluded that Diddy poses a public danger and “sees no reason to reach the opposite conclusion now” .
Although acquitted of more severe charges like racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, Diddy still faces a maximum sentence of 20 years. Sentencing is tentatively scheduled for October 3, 2025, though the judge has indicated it could be expedited .
The decision to deny bail highlights the court’s firm stance on enforcing consequences, even in high-profile cases.
