“Chasing Hearts”

Salt N Pepa, En Vogue, and TLC Brought Real Energy to the iHeartRadio Music Awards and Set the Stage for a Major Tour

The iHeartRadio Music Awards this year had a lot going on, but one of the moments that actually stuck with people was seeing Salt-N-Pepa, En Vogue, and TLC come together on one stage.

This was not treated like a throwback moment, and it did not feel like one either. From the second they stepped out, the energy shifted. The crowd was already with them, and they did not waste time building into it. It was immediate.

According to iHeartRadio coverage of the show, the performance worked as a full medley that moved through some of their biggest records. En Vogue opened things up, TLC followed with one of their most recognizable songs, and Salt N Pepa closed it out with the kind of presence that still feels just as strong now as it did years ago. The whole set felt intentional and tight, like a real preview instead of a one off moment.

That is what made it stand out. It was not just about reminding people of the past. It felt like they were showing exactly why they still belong in the current conversation.

The timing of it all matters too. The tour was not something that came out of nowhere after the awards. The announcement for the joint run featuring these three groups had already been made leading into the show. What the iHeartRadio Music Awards did was give people a live look at what that tour is going to feel like.

And based on that performance, it looks like it is going to be worth it.

Each group brought something different to the stage. En Vogue came through with clean vocals and control. TLC brought personality and connection. Salt N Pepa brought energy that lifted everything up a level. When all three of those elements came together, it did not feel crowded. It felt balanced.

That balance is exactly why this tour works on paper and why it translated so well live.

The tour itself, as outlined by Live Nation, is being positioned as a major co headlining run. It is scheduled to kick off in August and move through multiple cities across North America, running into October. The rollout makes it clear this is not a small run or a limited set of dates. It is a full tour built around three groups that each have their own strong fan base.

But if you are in the DMV, there is one issue that stands out right away.

Washington is not listed as an official stop.

There is a regional date in Bristow, Virginia, which covers the broader area, but it is not the same as having a show in the city itself. For a place like Washington, with its history and its audience for this kind of music, it feels like something is missing.

There has not been any official explanation from iHeart or Live Nation about why Washington is not on the current list. In most cases, decisions like that come down to scheduling, venue availability, and how the routing lines up across cities. Still, from a fan perspective, it is fair to question it.

The demand is there. The audience is there. And after a performance like the one they delivered at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, it is easy to see why people would expect a D.C. date to be included.

Even with that gap, there is still a lot to look forward to.

What the awards show proved is that this is not going to be a situation where artists show up and just go through the motions. The chemistry is there. The structure works. The songs still land the way they are supposed to.

And more importantly, the performance showed that these artists still know how to engage a crowd in real time.

That matters more than anything when it comes to a live show.

So while Washington not being on the list is frustrating, it does not take away from what this tour has the potential to be. If anything, it makes people in this area pay closer attention in case additional dates get added later.

For now, the iHeartRadio Music Awards gave fans a clear preview. Salt N Pepa, En Vogue, and TLC did not just show up. They delivered a moment that felt current, organized, and worth building on.

And if that performance is any indication, this tour is going to be more than just a lineup. It is going to be an experience people actually talk about after it is over.
